For this week’s Team Spotlight, we speak with Amy Conyard, Managing Director, Distillery Operations.  Read on to learn more about her exciting work across the new production facility at Bottomley Distillers.


Tell us a little bit about your background. 

I worked for most of my early career in hospitality management, before taking a side step into being a Customer Resolutions Manager in the MPS sector. I then Co-Founded Bottomley Distillers in 2016. I am a governor on the Board for the Lincoln College Group and also have been recently appointed to the Food Board for the GLEPP (Great Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership) who work as the link between public and private sectors. I am passionate about working to promote our sector and employability within regional businesses. I am an advocate of mental health awareness.


As one of the founders of Bottomley Distillers, how has your business changed since being acquired by Next Frontier Brands?

We are part of the most exciting growth period, building our new, industry leading distillery.


What are the key responsibilities in your current role as Managing Director, Distillery Operations?

I work within all areas of the business, which varies from day to day and can mean procurement, marketing, finance and anything in between!


What advice would you give to other females looking to be in key leadership roles? 

I am a firm believer in never taking no for an answer and also creating connections and surrounding yourself with people that will empower and inspire you.


How do you recharge?  What are some of your interests? 

Re-charge with the gym and walking my dog, Wilson! I love eating out, dinner and wine with friends is the best therapy!
